AWAG BÄRLOCHER

Welcome to Awag Bärlocher. We have been part of the Bärlocher Group since 2023 and have over 60 years of experience. We are leaders in the field of building and renovating with natural and artificial stone in Eastern Switzerland. We are very familiar with historical renovations under monument protection. We also specialize in the production of artificial stone elements, special mortar and concrete components for building renovation. Our construction teams undertake installation work and interior fittings. Or they can provide you with expert support in the construction of dry stone walls. Concrete finishing and concrete cosmetics are also part of Awag's program.

Passion carved in stone

Awag, Bärlocher and Fiorini share a passion for stone. Three companies operating in different areas of the natural and artificial stone industry – and with a shared passion carved in stone. Where others see material, we see potential.

Building and planning with natural and artificial stone in the areas of renovation, new facade construction, laying work and interior design are Awag's core competencies. Artificial stone and concrete elements are manufactured at the company's own factory in Fuchsloch.

Bärlocher has been quarrying Rorschach sandstone in its own quarry since 1890. However, the value creation process does not end with the extraction of raw blocks: Bärlocher combines digital stone processing with traditional stonemasonry.

The San Bernadino gneiss is quarried at an altitude of 2,000 metres above sea level. In addition to this Swiss classic, Fiorini deals in many other expressive natural stones, preferably from Switzerland. Fiorini also has its own natural stone production facility for small orders and custom-made products.

We work in Fuchsloch and on construction sites all over Switzerland. We produce on site but are also on the road a lot. Here we provide information at regular intervals about special projects from our artificial stone and concrete plant as well as special challenges on the construction site.

Terrazzo has been known since ancient times. Our terrazzo is versatile and you can play creatively with the material. The Awag collection includes standard slabs in popular colors. We also produce individual mixtures for our customers. Discover our terrazzo mixes.

Construction and renovation

Facade renovations are one of the core tasks of Awag and Bärlocher. Our experienced construction teams replace defective pieces of sandstone, clean natural stone façades, reprofile them with our own mortar and then document the work.
